Tacos with Friends returns to Ixchel this month with Kenji Morimoto, chef, content creator, food writer and author of FERMENT.
Known for his innovative approach to fermentation and bold, layered flavours, Kenji has created a taco that reflects his signature style. Miso-baked salmon is paired with lime tahini yogurt, thin slices of watermelon rind kimchi, fermented crispy potato shoestring fries, micro greens and a fermented rhubarb hot sauce.
The collaboration celebrates a shared passion for creativity, technique and flavour, blending Mexican tradition with Kenji’s contemporary culinary perspective.
Just 20 portions will be available every Tuesday evening from Tuesday 26th May.

Discover Antes de las Cinco, a relaxed afternoon moment inspired by the vibrant flavours of Mexico. Available Tuesday to Friday, 3–5pm, enjoy a selection of £5 tacos and quesadillas.
Choose from dishes including the Ensenada Taco with Mexican lager batter, pickled cucumber and carrot, and scotch bonnet crema; Prawn Adobado Quesadilla with refried beans, molcajete sauce and pickled red onion; and Pork Rib Taco with smoky chilli glaze, avocado purée and pickled radish.
Pair your food with a £8 Tommy’s Margarita made with Tapatio Blanco tequila, lime juice and organic agave.

Each week from 8pm, live percussionists, vocalists, and DJs bring the signature sounds of Mexico to our dining room. Think sultry beats, warm mezcal, bold flavours, and an unmistakable late-night energy.
The moon rises. The fire ignites. Thursdays & Fridays at Ixchel will never be the same.

March nights at Ixchel are driven by rhythm, flavour and atmosphere. As tacos hit the table and cocktails start flowing, our DJs set the tone with carefully curated sounds, warm, uplifting and effortlessly stylish.
